The second HEA gathering at Max’s Kitchen on Wednesday 10 December was another successful evening, with a good turnout, at what will now be a regular quarterly event. We were glad to see some new faces, as well as people who have been previously.
Max did us proud with some excellent canapés, Prosecco and some unusual bottled ales as well as coffee and soft drinks.
Discussions during the evening ranged from business rates, traffic and parking issues, the Praetorian development and CCTV updating, as well as the best way to improve signage. It was good to get ideas from business people on the estate about what matters to them and what we should be concentrating our efforts on. This is an excellent forum to spend a little time away from your normal business activities and get your thoughts and ideas aired in an informal and relaxed setting. Several people took that opportunity giving us some fresh input and ideas to what businesses feel is important to them. We also signed up several new members who saw the benefit of a strong association backing them up.
Our next event will be on Wednesday 11 March 2015, so we look forward to seeing you there for more positive discussion on how we can improve the estate for all.
We will have an interesting ‘guest speaker spot’ at the next event - more details to follow.
The HEA Committee would like to wish all members and businesses on the Holmethorpe Estate a very merry Christmas and a prosperous 2015.
