Surrey Police are appealing for information following the theft of power tools from a container in Merstham.
The theft took place between 5.45pm on Wednesday 13 March and 7.30am on Thursday 14 March from the building site on Nailsworth Crescent.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Colin Snell from Reigate CID, said: "I would appeal to anyone who either saw anything suspicious in the area around the time the offence took place or who has been offered any tools for sale which they believe could be stolen to contact officers with information.
"There are several heavy items included in the stolen property which would have required a vehicle to move and it is likely that more than one offender was present at the scene for some time therefore I believe someone has seen something which could assist with out investigation.”
The stolen tools include the following:
- Two Honda wacker plates
- Two Honda Hydraulic braker packs
- Two petrol Stihl disc cutters
- Three Honda generators
- A cement mixer
- A Stihl chainsaw
- Shovels and spades
- Two green wheelbarrows
- A post drill
- A nail gun
Local neighbourhood officers from the Reigate and Banstead Safer Neighbourhood Team are assisting detectives with their investigation by carrying out enquires in the Merstham area.
